Tips for getting the most out of Bankline (part 2)

We’ve made some changes to save you time and make managing your finances easier. Here are our latest tips for getting the best out of new Bankline:

 

Save time by adding a default debit account for domestic payments

You can set a default debit account which will auto-fill every time you create a new domestic payment. To do this: 

  1. Click your name in the top right corner of the top menu, then select ‘My preferences’
  2. You’ll see your current selections here. To change these, select ‘Change preferences’
  3. Click the magnifying glass on the right-hand side to select your default account for each payment type. You don’t have to do this for all payment types
  4. Click ‘Continue’, then ‘Confirm’ to apply the change.

 

View your favourite accounts from your dashboard

You can customise your dashboard to see your preferred account balances at a glance. You’re able to pick up to five accounts that will display on your dashboard every time you log in.

To set this up, click ‘Select favourite accounts’ from the favourite accounts panel on your dashboard. Next, pick the accounts you want to appear there, and which balances you want to see.

By clicking on any of the accounts in the panel, you’ll be taken to the statement for that account.

If you don’t see the ‘favourite accounts’ panel on your dashboard, click ‘Customise dashboard’ to enable it.

 

Navigating around Bankline  

While we’re still building some of the features in new Bankline, we’ve made sure it’s easy for you to access the original versions of these features from within new Bankline. 

For example, you can access all your existing bulk lists and import payments from the 'Payments' menu in new Bankline. You’ll also see the option of ‘Admin’, which will take you to your familiar administration options.

You can access your ‘Payment summary’ from the ‘Payments’ menu, or from the ‘Popular shortcuts’ panel on the dashboard. ‘Broadcast messages’ and the ‘Monthly charge notifications’ for Bankline can be found under the ‘Messages’ heading in the top menu, just next to your name.
